Understanding codes
Every record in Tradershubs has a unique code — you'll see them on products, orders, customers, employees, everywhere:
vlji-PRD-261015-0001 a product
a4ug-CAT-261015-0004 a category
US1sxIIeDfkx2Ct3SAMP a userReading a code
The middle part tells you the kind of record:
| Fragment | Record |
|---|---|
PRD | Product |
CAT | Category |
COL | Collection |
USR | User |
STO | Store |
CUS | Customer |
ORD / INV | Order / invoice |
Where you'll meet them
- Dashboard — shown in a Code column on tables; useful when talking to support or cross-referencing records.
- POS — you almost never see them. Products show names and images, and cashiers sign in by name + PIN — never by typing a code.
TIP
Codes are internal identifiers — you don't need to memorize or type them. Everywhere a code matters, there's a picker, search field, or barcode instead.
